Differences between IP67 and IP68 connectors.

Connectors are indispensable as you embark on your next project. Connectors — are already specialized components to force other device elements. They also have a lot to do with keeping these devices operational. Rule Number One is that it must protect and provide shelter for your expensive tool from the nasty things like water, workbench squalor or general shop dirt-chach of which any could be a death knell to an out-of-the-box machine. What Does IP Mean?

Then how can I figure out what connector is right? 

So It will handy if you want connector for your application… Environment — first place where the device will work. The IP68 connector or led strip 3 pin connector is suggested when deep water exposure will be present for an extended period. However, if the smartphone is going to be around a shallow water or not enough of it volume for the electrical parts (for instance light spraying) an IP67 connection would also work. 

But the main reason is money. While the IP68 connectors are tangling on slightly more expensive side instead of going with a cost-effective option like an IP67 makes zero sense since they have even better o-ring seals and waterproof protection. When budget is a major concern, and your gadget does not have to survive under deep water such as 1 meter then you should consider IP67.

Well you have to think about where you are going using device and how much water exposure in addition of cost.
